A very reputable landscape company planted the lawn at my new house. I loved their work and asked them to handle the weeding and feeding of my new lawn. When I noticed a problem, my concerns fell on deaf ears. I decided to research other providers and was very happy when I found Lawn Doctor. In a very short time they have diagnosed and treated a fungus that could eventually destroy my lawn. They took soil samples and formulated a fertilizer targeted at a specific pH for my lawn, definitely not a one size fits all approach as others do. They take terrific care of weeding and feeding, are easy to work with and very conscientious. My lawn has never looked better and is the best in the neighborhood, if I do say so. After inconsistent results with our lawn, we finally made the decision a few years ago to move away from a well-known lawncare company and instead try Lawn Doctor of Stow. Our results were nearly immediate and extremely impressive. Our backyard has a steep hill which previously was patchy and thin. Within a few weeks, Lawn Doctor had the hill and our entire yard plush and green - and it has remained that way ever since. They dedicate a representative to our lawn who has remained in place with us every year. In fact, he has become very busy as our neighbors have also made the switch to Lawn Doctor! We've been with Lawn Doctor (Stow) since 2022, and we’ve had an amazing experience with their team. Our techs—Dustin, Christopher, and Dylan—are all fantastic! They’re always professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable when it comes to lawn care and mosquito control. They’ve really helped us maintain our yard to the best of its potential. After a major backyard drainage issue and overhaul down to the dirt, Lawn Doctor stepped in to help us reseed, and the results were amazing. Even with this year's tough weather, between the high heat and drought, our grass looks as good as it possibly can, and that’s thanks to their care and advice. I first spoke with Jamie, as we are having some issues with our new lawn. I expressed to her that customer service and communication was most important to me and she was fantastic from the start. She took the time to explain the process, gave me an overview of the company, and took plenty of time to answer all of my questions before moving forward. Chris was the technician for my first service today and he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and same as Jamie, he took the time to explain everything in detail and what next steps would be. We just changed to Lawn Doctor this year. I have always wanted the "perfect" lawn since we installed a new one in 1995, so I have always tried to use a reputable lawn care company and was always willing to do what it takes to get my beautiful lawn. Short story is it never quite looked really good except in early spring and early fall when there was a lot of rain. I talked with three companies this year, that's when I met Brendan who is now our lawn tech. He is very knowledgeable and explains things extremely well, and understands my goals. His passion for actually working with the customer is what really struck me- he's just a motivated guy who will work hard to get better results. I was also impressed by all the 5* ratings Lawn Doctor had, so it was an easy change for me to make. It feels good to have a tech who is "partnering" with me. ~ Edward P

Today 6/4/25 Chris Pollard showed up bright and early an did a fantastic job treating my lawn. He was thorough and very effective. When he was finished he left my driveway, sidewalks and patio areas spotless! Once again, a credit to have as a technician. Thank you Chris! My lawn had been Infiltrated with bent grass over the last few years to the point that I was considering replacing the entire lawn. After seeing an advertisement regarding Power Seeding offered by Lawn Doctor, I decided to call for additional information. Aimee, the owner, answered my questions over the phone and offered to make a site visit to evaluate my lawn. She developed a plan which included spray killing the bent grass, Power Seeding and fertilization. It’s been a few weeks since the Power Seeding and the new lawn is coming in slowly due to the unseasonably cool weather. I’m confident that I will have a lush lawn in 2021 thanks to the good people at Lawn Doctor. Lastly, Dustin my lawn technician answered all my questions while he was at my home performing the Power Seeding. It was obvious the he takes a lot of pride in his work and is an asset to Lawn Doctor. ~ Dan H

My lawn had not been treated for several years because of our dog. My daughter and husband recommend The Lawn Doctor. I used The Lawn Doctor to treat our yard. In just 2 or 3 treatments it was unbelievable how much difference it made. After all of the treatments in one season it was like I had a new plush lawn. I highly recommend The Lawn Doctor for your lawn treatment. They always let you know when they are coming to do the treatment and always follow up with a report of what service they provided. I normally don't write reviews but wanted to share my feedback about Lawn Doctor, especially Amiee, Brian, Jim & Sean . I built my home a year ago and the lawn was installed by landscapers. I hired Lawn Doctor to come out and they immediately noticed some issues. Instead of pointing fingers at the landscape company, Amie worked with me to come up with a solution. The crew is brutally honest, but what I noticed most is that they actually care, and take pride in their work. I would highly recommend Sean if you can get him. Lawn Doctor of Strongsville - Stow came out to our residence for the first time yesterday. Topher Pollard knocked on our front door door and introduced himself and the soil sample technician, Elijahe. I walked the yard with Topher. I pointed out the bare spots where there was no grass. He recommended waiting until later in the year to do any seeding. He hopped on the fertilizing machine. Both sprayed for weeds. I was pleasantly surprised that they used a power blower to clear the sidewalks and driveway. The previous yard service didn't do this. Both Topher and Elijahe were courteous, professional, and hard working. We made the right decision selecting Lawn Doctor of Strongsville - Stow. ~ Mark M

We have been using Lawn Doctor (Stow) for the past several years. The difference they have made in our lawn is for the positive. They are able to identify problems, use preventative measures, and even manage to get us through the drought periods when we are inconsistent with our watering. They are always very kind and knowledgeable as well. I love that the same person visits our lawn and sends a summary with personalized suggestions (Chloe is fabulous! 🩷). They are also very quick to respond when I have any questions. We have used many lawn services prior and Lawn Doctor exceeds expectations every year! 😊 ~ Rachel A

I'm currently renovating my property and one of my top priorities is to get my lawn in decent shape. Moss was forming and spreading in my lawn and I had many bare patches so I hired Lawn Doctor in the spring of 2020 for an analysis, power seeding and to begin a treatment program. By the fall of 2020 the moss and bare patches are nearly gone and the entire lawn looks thick and green; like someone actually lives on this property! Have previously tried 3 other lawn care companies since 2010, all of which did a solid job taking care of my lawn needs. However, this past year after giving Lawn Doctor a try, I realized that there was an easy, affordable way to maintain an even healthier, much greener lawn through the year! All companies aren’t the same after all! This past season was hassle free and even held a much greener color throughout the winter months! Highly recommend this service. We have been using Lawn Doctor or Stow for several seasons and our main service person has been Dustin. First we are notified of all their visits and guess what... they are on time! Now Dustin... he has always professional and keeps us informed of what we need... just what we need. On a recent visit, it was beautiful spring day and he informed my wife that is was a Mosquito treatment and asked her to relocate inside the house. However our cat insisted on getting to know Dustin and he took the time to paly with Mr. Basil... a Munchkin cat with some unique needs. Way to go Dustin! We had just moved into a new home and the lawn was a mess. The Lawn Doctor completely transformed our lawn in one season! Several of our neighbors complimented us on our lawn & asked what lawn service we used. Along with being impressed with our beautiful lawn we were also very impressed with the customer service. Last year a different technition serviced my lawn. I was home thus year when Christopher did 2 treatments. It was the 1st time I met him. I showed him my property lines bc the one side of my property is a diagonal line not a straight line that is on the opposite property line. He answered my questions & was very courteous & respectful. This is my 3rd year using Lawn Doctor. My lawn hasn't looked this good in over 10 years. My previous service claimed bc I have a lot of trees my lawn could not improve. Referred Lawn Doctor to my daughter. Her lawn wasn't in as bad of shape as mine. Her lawn improved tremendously in 1 year. ~ Trish S

Sean Whaler did a wonderful job fertilizing and treating our lawn today. He took the time to treat a few pop up weeds individually. I really appreciate his attention to detail. We are pet owners and appreciate the care Lawn Doctor takes in notifying us before and after any treatments, and that technicians like, Sean, take the time to place markers in each corner of our yard (we live on a corner lot) to make sure our neighbors are aware of the treatment as well. We have noticed marked improvement of our lawn since we started using Lawn Doctor three years ago. We highly recommend them. ~ Amy P

I just want to say since we have switched to Lawn Doctor our grass has came a long way. We had another company when we first moved to our new house and the communication and customer service was terrible. The technicians are very polite and knowledgeable. We had Matt C for our last couple of visits and he’s AMAZING!!! Matt will take his time walk through your yard and explain what is going on and what he’s doing during the visit. Through the years I have used other companies and always had issues with service. Your technicians have been very knowledgeable and have taken time to explain procedures. This is the first year that my lawn has looked this fabulous - I get a lot of positive compliments from neighbors and people who pass by. I just recently started with Lawn Doctor and I will say that they really know what they are doing. Your technician Chris Harrington is awesome. I have tried numerous companies like weedman and trugreen and those companies can't hold a candle to the lawn doctor. I would highly recommend your company to all my friends and people I come across! I have used Lawn Doctor for two seasons and have been impressed with their communication and attention to detail. They have educated me on knowing that lawn maintenance is a marathon and not a sprint. As a homeowner, you really have to commit to a healthy lawn. Lawn Doctor does everything they are capable of doing, but if you aren't willing to take their advice then you will continue seeing the results you always have before. That is what sticks out to me. Our first year going with Lawn Doctor Strongsville - Stow, and absolutely loved it. We went with the mosquito control, because across the street from our home is a retention basin which is a feeding ground for mosquitos. Being outside especially in the evening was always quite annoying to say the least. We noticed the difference immediately with their treatment, and have been enjoying much more grilling and bon fire evenings. We plan to expand with their services for lawn care treatment in the future. Very much recommend. ~ Chris F

We have had many lawn service companies over the years, but non have been as responsive or invested in improving our yard’s appearance. We live in a deeply wooded area which is a real challenge, but they have helped us get better results under difficulty conditions. I wanted to add that Chris came out recently to evaluate some areas that needed reseeded and was very helpful evaluating the areas. Dustin came late last week to do the job and was very thorough!!
